Connecting via OTG to Android
Quote from julkal on June 12, 2020, 8:57 pmToday my board arrived. Setup with PC Certabo software was no problem but connecting to Certabodroid or to Chess for Android doesn´t work.
After connecting all LED´s flashes for a short moment (so there is some sort of connection....) but Chess for Android shows:
USB
/dev/bus/usb/002/002
if I tab on it (it doesn´t go away) the massage disappear, then I give permission and a green sign on the left bottom of the app shows USB connection. But nothing happens when I move the pieces (or I simply do not know what to do)
In Certabodroid after tab on "Connect to Certabo board" a dialog says "please setup the board and click on connect" then I tab on "connect" as I
don´t know "what to set up and how", I give permission and nothing happens when I try to move the pieces.
After tab on "new Game" it say "please set the white pieces at the bottom an the black...." but the dialog doesn´t disappear

Ok for chess for android is ok you need to touch on the text /dev/bus/usb/002/002 so the board will be connected to that port on the phone the text will go away and you can play.
On Certabodroid yes you setup pieces white on bottom side (usb on right) if you want to play with white then you press connect to to Certabo board. Then if you start new game the dialogue shall go off and game will start. If there is some pieces missing it wont' start so please check all pieces are in position you may need to center some.
All the best
Pietro

Thanks a lot. Certabodroid now works (I did not press new game.....). Chess for Android does not work. As described it shows the green USB sign after I tabbed on the USB dialog, but I cannot play
UPDATE: Now everything works. The trick was not only to put the pieces in starting position, one have to put the 2 extra queens on the board as well.

Quote from HERALDO 100 on January 11, 2021, 6:59 pmGood afternoon. I've been trying to connect the Cetabodroid to my Certabo board for several days and no matter how hard I try it always tells me "Certabo board not found". I have seen the video of the application several times: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WP57KzaJKxw and I always stay in the phase in which the program must ask permission to the output of the usb port. I have a Xiaomi redmi note 6 pro phone and a hama brand OTG port. https://www.computeruniverse.net/en/hama-usb-20-otg-adapter-schwarz?utm_campaign=adgoal&awc=11355_1610391291_e3d1e9af1f1ca4057b07515fc3fe083f&utm_channel=affiliatemed&utm_utmource=affiliatetextium&utm_utmource= Please help or suggestions.
