Davinci extrem could not login with vnc

Hi,

I got a new board today with the davinci extrem.

Connection to my wifi runs well, but if I start the remote function, dont't get access over vnc. In windows the connection refused and with the android app I got an errormessage. Is there any thing else I must do, to get access to the remote desktop?

Next question I think this is a waveshare display, could I rotate this 180 degrees? The power connector ist on the button side that is not really usefull.

Hi Dirk

Welcome to the forum, the connection is either possible via VNc or local display before establishing connection from phone you shall double click Phon on the DaVinci so it will enable the vnc for incoming connection. Also double check in the phone that port after IP is :1 by default it can be 5900 change 5900 to 1.

It's not a waveshare display else if using same chipset. Yes you can rotate connecting remotely via ssh user: pi password: certabodavinci

then do:

cd LCD-show
./LCD35-show 180

this shall rotate the screen by 180°

I have access now! port 1 was the right int.

One last question: could I also use the modul as a bluetooth bridge ?

How could I start the davinci extrem with a default enable "PH_ON" mode?

Hi Dirk

Well yes it can be done normally the module is supposed to work as BT client but it you want to turn into a BT server there is not direct function to do it but you can burn another micro sd wirh a BT image and replace the micro SD it should work. Hi again Dirk

Yes you can have vnc starting automatically you shall edit some setting in the PI but i'm not sure you will be able to turn it off with phoff command.

I think best thing you can do is the following so you could esily go back. At the boot the DaVinci is launching a file called start_chess.sh

which is same file called when you double click on offline software. So i suggest to make the following

sudo cp start_chess.sh start_chess1.sh

this will make a copy of the file then

sudo nano start_chess.sh and comment the row launching the software adding # as first character and add a row tightvnserver this will launch the vnc at boot.

edit the .desktop file launching the offline chess just changing the name to start_chess1.sh so it will launch the start_chess1.sh when you double click on the software icon.
