First impressions after 2 weeks playing with Vittoria Betulla + 2,5" set:

Certabo Online: No surprisses, just few unexpected communication issues with Chess.com, probably related to my Windows 10 set up (plug & fail), Lichess also played without noticing any issues.

If you like not stress chess, like 20-30mins and above games, you'll be happy with this. I love to play on a board, we spend too much time on screens.

PC or Desktop version:

Human VS Engines works great, I used it all the time to start from problems and replay games. I was able to add several engines and opening books with no issues. Just following the advice availiable on this forum and some other blogs.

I'd improve the sounds if possible or make the customizable. I'm missing specially an invalid movement buzzer, so when nothing happen you don't have to check on the screen what's going on.

The Chessmen set is very nice but I'm missing some extra weight, probably will go for a 2,75" and order another set of chips.

Knowing that the board is somehow the entry level for the CERTABO offering, has very nice natural wood finish and good termination.

Just to mention that the leds could be same level as the surface and not touching the felt, a 1mm mate varnish would protect then and the botton of the chessmen. But Overall I love the RFID concept and the lack of moving pieces this board should last for years with no issues. I've not had any issue with the RFIDs, and calibration is always succesful.

The USB magenic cable is good manufactured and works good but I'd prefer a 90 degree connection and probably will purchase one soon.

I'd happy to get a custom transport case with the board with some padding and room for chessmen and a tablet or little android device.

Well I need also to say that the unboxing, shipping and mail support has been extraordinary, that's the difference when you buy from a manufacturer that puts passion and not an Ama.... reseller.

Overall really happy with my first e-board, and happy to keep bussiness in Europe.

Quick tip you can simply replace the move sound just go in installation directory and you see a sound directory go in there and just put a new file .wav calling it .wav. Yes we shall put a sound for invalid move too this is something to do shortly. Surface of Vittoria is actually varnished before inserting the led lens several hands we use water based satin transparent paint but additional hand is ok too.

Bag yep it definitively something missing too we actually have same problem especially with bigger board when we need to transport them :-), time to have those coordinated will keep updated.

Yes several friends did adaptation of the naked tag. There is quite detailed instruction here https://www.certabo.com/certabo-forum/topic/weighted-275-pieces-with-leather/ there were some pictures but since we migrated the forum we need to recover.
