Hi everyone,

The online part of the linux distribution 4.5 is working!!! After running ./main, I can select the lichess.org button in the Certabo window. The Certabo Online window opens.

Then I select Launch website, but that doesn't do much (yet?), though I do believe that my browser flashes once. Then I manually create a tab for lichess.org, and I can play OTB from my pc :). I can play friends and the computer, no problems yet.

Yes, I'm very happy that it works, thanks everyone for the help and support. Michiel for checking so many things and Pietro & team for delivering the software that made it work. For lessons learned: I'm happy that I did not need to reinstall firefox, and therefore did not lose my other harmless but useful plugins. I am also happy that the Ubuntu compilation just works for OpenSuSE, which is hopeful for future development.

That's great, enjoy!

Since apparently you have to manually open a new tab in Firefox to get the lichess website in your screen, it might be that it is related to your web browser settings or possible popup blocking extensions in use.

Without changing these you might have a try with this possible workaround (and if it does not work just put it back to default).

From https://github.com/brookhong/Surfingkeys/issues/1446

  1. Paste in your URL bar within Firefox:
    about:config
    (if you get a warning page first just continue)
  2. if that does not show all entries immediately click on the text show all
  3. Find (easier by searching for popup)
    dom.popup_allowed_events
  4. Click on the pencil edit button right next to it
  5. The default value of this entry is:
    change click dblclick auxclick mousedown mouseup pointerdown pointerup notificationclick reset submit touchend contextmenu
  6. add the value keydown in front of it, with a space separating it to the second word like:
    keydown change click dblclick auxclick mousedown mouseup pointerdown pointerup notificationclick reset submit touchend contextmenu
  7. you might have to shutdown and restart Firefox
  8. now try again whether the Certabo software is able to launch the new lichess website tab in your browser by its own without you having to open it manually

Wow, excellent explanation :). I did enter the keydown parameter, but it doesn't change even after restarting Firefox

I think maybe my settings prevent the opening lichess.org via ./main. It's ok, I can easily open a new tab, it is no trouble. I'd rather open it manually than having to deal with unwanted popups that are often called by commercial sites.

Hello Gokuk, good all is ok!

To do last fix with the Lc0 issue please donwload this file unzip and place in root directory

https://www.certabo.com/wp-content/uploads/SOFTWARE/Release/Ubuntu/libopenblas.so.zip

This is library required by Lc0 and not included automatically during the compilation (thank you Michiel for double checking 🙂

We have also updated the previous link of the complete software with this fix. BTW the  4.52 release with Maia and othe features is coming too.

Looks promising Gokuk...! Stay tuned..

There were some minor things to be fixed whilst testing 4.52 but then you have 4 engines including maia at a lot of levels and if you want move announcement by a voice from your PC/laptop can be set in Options.
