Thanks to Dirk and Gerhard , who developed the new functions the support for Certabo board has been added to Picochess!!

Works on Raspberry 3B or 4B , it is required a LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 600, HDMI connection, but i tested also over serial DSI via ribbon cable connection and works fine.

When you boot the unit make sure the pieces on the board are in initial positions including the spare queens as in the Certabo basic line-up, i.e. white on bottom black on top and extra queens in d3 and d6. When the LEDs go out again, take both queens off the board and you're done. The version includes:

• game database with 512000 GM play until the year 2022; Based on scidvspc (linux) runs as a server in the background and shows in which games (max 5) the current position appears and also the continuation when you select a game.
• Opening database obookserv
• Customized web interface
• Update ct800 current version
• Update WASP to version 6.00
• Update Stockfish to V15

This new version is incredibly good and  picochess is now open to everyone who owns one of the e-boards !!!

There will be two new features, the ones I've always missed.
Number 1:
The engine menu has now been split by another element.
There are now three menu items and each has an associated ini:
Modern Engines -> engine.ini - All native and special engines can be found here
Retro Engines -> retro.ini -The available retros can now be selected individually here
Favorites -> favorites.ini – You can continue to build your favorite engine lists here.
This integration was already very complex, but it now organizes the chaos very well and is a gain for usability.

Number 2 and my favorite:
Adaptive play for all UCI engines that can play by ratings !!
With this, picochess is taking a really big step forward.
I currently have this feature enabled on the following engines:
stockfish
ct800
RodentIV
WASP (Caution: minimum skill level 1500ELO)
(Shredder13 win32 if you own it)
How does this work:
In picochess.ini there is a rarely used parameter pgn-elo = 1500 . This is actually only used to write a rating into the pgn. From now on, this value adapts. If this value is commented out, the function is not active.
If you're playing in auto mode, Picochess will take the rating, round up to 50 Elo, and play against you at that skill level. If you win or lose, the values are adjusted immediately and the next game takes place with new values. In the beginning the jumps will still be high, but it learns from game to game and it will become more and more accurate, so that Picochess becomes the optimal playing partner. After a series of games you will have a good evaluation of your playing strength. There is a second entry in the ini. deviation = 350 . This value will decrease over time and is responsible for how accurate the rating and how big the jumps are. The value can always be reset, but then it starts all over again.
Last question how do I play in automatic mode?
Quite simply, if you choose one of these engines, you will be offered the “Auto” level. There is an auto entry in the .uci files of the engines, which can also be transferred to other engines that can do this. I love this feature!!!!

Besides that, small things were fixed.

The dgtpi and lite version will be preconfigured for audio on the 3.5" jack plug in the future. Dgtpi has no Windows32 support.
The default boards will be dgt.
With the update, picochessweb31 is done with the functions for me. I think that we have really created something in the short time here.

What else can come?
I'll spend my time porting the whole thing to 64 bit so it's well prepared for the future. In this context, the subject of Linux64 and Windows64 will be pursued further. But that will take time.
Last but not least, online games are on the agenda at lichess. Dirk M. has done some good preparatory work here, which I'd be happy to look at.
But these things will take time.
