p.s if it works with Certabodroid should work also 99% with Chess for Android where you are actually stuck with?

In "chess for android" reconnecting always works fine without any issues.

What I think about this issue: In your PC app, before one can start to play, the position of the pieces on the board are transferred to the app.
This starting procedure should also be integrated in Certabodroid. This would maybe solve this problem as the position of the pieces are recognized by the app no matter where they are on the board.
In Certabodroid it seems to me that it is the other way round (One have to match the Certabodroid position at the board)

Anyohow: I love my board and Certabodroid is very new I expected some issues......

I found the solution: The app mustn´t be closed, then resuming is no problem. If  I close the app I can´t resume, as the app only can start with a new game when it´s connected to the board (for now...).

By the way: What´s the function of the very left button in the menu (I marked it red in the attached picture) It seems to have no function because nothing happens if I push long or short on it?

As Bryan was saying that button is for opening a .pgn or fen file. It does not have any action because you do not have any file saved to open. You shall before save a pgn or a fen. To do this at any time you have to long press on chessboard and select file then you can save .pgn for example. Yes if you close the App at this stage cannot recover the position yet., you just need to reconnect. Anyhow it is not normal if the App crash when you try to reconnect so often can you tell which version of Android you are using so can check? There are so many that we may need to check specific.

The functioning of the android version has different logic from PC one as we adapted the Droidfish and we read pieces at any start-up but we are trying to  implement the start from board position so this can be solved. Ideally we shall bring the PC version to Android 🙂  In the meantime we have almost finished the implementation of Lichess support in Certabodroid. I'm attaching pictures you see we have also integrated the USB icon to let you see the connection. green is connected black like in pic disconnected (thanks for tip very useful and quickly implemented)

Certabodroid only crashes if I shut it down and try to reconnect and resume the game. I think it crashes because the app can resume without the board but can´t with the board connected (after shut down). As there is a conflict it crashes. If I don´t shut down the app, it doesn´t crash.

Integrating Lichess support on Certabodroid is wonderful.....

I noticed an other "issue": I can´t take back moves. Neither on Certabodroid nor on Chess for Android (on PC no problem). Certabodroid says "illegal move" ( of course it´s illegal..hihihi) and Chess for Android starts to play with my pieces after I took 2 half moves back (not always but often. It seems to depend on which pieces I take back first (my own piece or the opponents. Sometimes it works when I take my piece first back and sometimes I have to take the opponents piece first back. )
It would be nice to integrate a "take back" button in Certabodroid and after pushing this button the game can be played back and the LED shows the moves backwards like in old Mephisto days....)

UPDATE: In Chess for Android I found a solution: One have to take back the pieces on the board FIRST and then push the take back button.

In Certabodroid unfortunately what ever I tried, it always says "Illegal Move" when I take back moves

Yes cannot take back yet 🙂 in certabodroid.

Will check and try to add the feature as we need to align the physical board with droidfish logic backward. We also checked the crash as that's right we should have fixed the crashing but the start from position shall be added too.
